Abstract: Although Astronomy Education Research (AER) at university level typically focuses on Astro 101 students, there is a noticeable gap in the literature for post-introductory university students. In this 1-minute reflection I will briefly summarise the state of the field, aim to stimulate some thoughts about the present and future of this field, and invite the audience to share any ideas, suggestions or possible research directions via email afterwards.
