Abstract: For 24 years, the Silicon Valley Astronomy Lectures have presented six public talks per year explaining new developments in astronomy in everyday language. Speakers have included three Nobel laureates, winners of national medals, noted authors, and others. Thanks to a generous donor, the lectures have been professionally recorded for many years and made available on YouTube, where they now have over 4.1 million views. More recently, we have turned the audio portion of each lecture into a podcast, which is disseminated through the BuzzSprout service to all the major podcast distributors, including Spotify and Apple. As of mid-June, the various podcasts have been downloaded over 130,000 times, and the interest has accelerated recently, with episodes on the Multiverse and Stephen Hawking. This appears to be an interesting way to bring new audiences to a long-standing outreach project.
