Abstract: The April 8th, 2024 eclipse was an event I had waited and planned for for years. After meeting the head of the heliophysics department at NASA, I was encouraged to apply to the Eclipse Ambassador program, and I am so glad that I was introduced to this opportunity. The Eclipse Ambassador program provided me a space to learn from others in the amateur astronomer realm and equipped me with a platform to educate and inform the most underserved communities. I had the opportunity to travel with the Exploratorium Museum to Ely, Nevada to cover the annular eclipse in October of 2023, and covered the April 8th eclipse live for my news station off the coast of Mazatlán, Mexico. I will share the successes and failures I had while educating audiences leading up to and during the eclipse.
