Abstract: The American Astronomical Society (AAS) is committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in astronomy graduate education. This year, we have carried out a number of activities to support the astronomical community in making their graduate admissions processes more inclusive, as well as supporting departmental leaders in fostering more inclusive environments. In January 2024, we invited law professor Lia Epperson to give a plenary talk at our winter AAS meeting to inform our community on the legal landscape facing race-conscious university admissions. In June 2024 we hosted a day-long workshop for graduate admissions chairs on the effective use of rubrics. I'll speak about these efforts and others, as well as planned future activities, in my talk.
