Abstract: If you lack the means to take your class to a planetarium, why not bring a planetarium to your class? You can create a usable cardboard planetarium for a fraction of the cost of an inflatable planetarium, including a planetarium projector you can make adapted from an ordinary classroom projector. In this session you will make a small geodesic dome and learn how to build a larger one, then learn about how to make a convex mirror projector using the computer projector you may already have. Resources and lessons for using a planetarium for hands-on labs and activities will be shared including a tutorial on how to use Stellarium software.
