Based at The Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California Berkeley, Alan Gould directed the Global Systems Science (GSS) high school curriculum project and is currently GSS Director Emeritus. He Co-Directed the Hands-On Universe project and was Director of The Lawrence Hall of Science Planetarium for over a decade and is now Planetarium Director Emeritus. He is co-author of several Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) teacher guides. He was on the Full Option Science System (FOSS) curriculum development staff for two decades. He was Co-Investigator for Education and Public Outreach with the NASA Kepler Mission 2000–2015. He has over 40 years of experience developing and presenting hands-on science activities and 25 years of experience organizing and leading teacher education workshops.
