Kate Meredith founded Geneva Lake Astrophysics and STEAM (GLAS) in 2018, following the closure of the historic Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, WI, where she served as Director of Education and Outreach. Under her leadership, GLAS has become a nationally recognized leader in promoting disability access and advocacy within STEM education, outreach, and careers. GLAS specializes in providing consulting services and workshops across the country, empowering educators and outreach professionals to enhance the accessibility of their work through Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. The organization collaborates directly with individuals with disabilities in the design and delivery of all programs, ensuring that the lived experiences of the target audiences are central to development efforts. GLAS's impactful work has been recognized by the National Federation of the Blind.
