Christine Shupla manages the LPI Science Engagement staff, with 20 years of experience in NASA’s planetary science education community and 15 years of experience in informal science education. Shupla leads LPI’s scientist engagement efforts, providing professional development and resources to assist planetary scientists in their efforts to share their science with public audiences. She serves as the project manager for the Virtual Trips to Extreme Environments (VIRTEX) program, Co-Investigator for the NASA Science Activation Planetary ReaCH and NASA@ My Library teams, and Co-Investigator for the LPI ENComPSS project and the SSERVI CLOE project. Ms. Shupla is honored and humbled by the opportunity to continually learn more about inclusion and diversity challenges and opportunities from colleagues and experts, and is growing in experience in facilitating diversity and inclusion discussions.
