Angela Just is a graduate research associate with the Native Earth | Native Sky (NENS) program at Oklahoma State University. The NENS program aims to increase the understanding of and interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields for middle school students in the Native Nations of Oklahoma by developing holistic curriculum that interweaves Native American stories and language with STEM principles. NENS work is supported by the NASA Science Activation program. Angela is a former secondary mathematics teacher who enjoys studying the potential of carefully crafted visual representations within mathematics instruction. Her greatest joy in life is fulfilling her role as a mother and grandmother.
